Gary Thompson Agency, Inc., (GTA) a full-service independent insurance agency, announced effective October 1, 2018, it has merged with Trenton Insurance Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency located in both McCook and Trenton, NE.
Trenton Insurance Agency was purchased by Joe Townsley from Eric Hutto in 2013. That same year, Joe also opened up a location in McCook.
GTA is excited to welcome four new employees to the team. Joe Townsley, who has run both locations since 2013, will be working out of the McCook office along with Mariah Gosch. The Trenton location will be managed by Peggy McDonald and Eric Hutto will remain on staff there as well.
Peggy McDonald is fairly new to the agency, and we are excited to have her on board! She has years of experience in the insurance industry that will be of great benefit to McCook/Trenton area customers.
McCook native and GTA President Krae Dutoit says, “We are so excited to partner with Joe and establish a flagship in the community of McCook. We are also looking forward to adding McCook and Trenton to our list of growing agencies in southwest Nebraska and, in addition, having the opportunity to offer more carrier options to customers in that part of the state. With this recent acquisition, GTA has grown to 21 locations across Nebraska.
