Farmers Mutual Donates to Hildreth VFD

Hildreth, Neb. — Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nebraska made a significant donation to the Hildreth Rural Volunteer Fire Department on October 9 contributing funds towards the purchase of a new ambulance.


Gary Thompson Agency agent/owner, Crale Bauer, helped orchestrate the donation. “It’s great that we do business with a company (Farmers Mutual) that is always willing to consider and allow donations to local communities. We sincerely appreciate their generosity towards our volunteer fire department.”


Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nebraska has a long history of assisting rural fire districts. The company tries to utilize the limited funds it has for such purposes to maximize rural fire protection in Nebraska and South Dakota.


Farmers Mutual is a well-known insurance company across Nebraska, providing the state with insurance protection since 1891. Gary Thompson Agency has been serving customers since 1987 and has been partnered with Farmers Mutual as a provider since the agency was established. This lengthy partnership has allowed the two to come together and do great things for many of the local communities they serve.


Gary Thompson Agency is based in Red Cloud, with locations in Blue Hill, Curtis, Deshler, Grand Island, Hastings, Hildreth, Kearney, Kenesaw, Lincoln, Minden, Superior, and Wilcox, Nebraska, as well as in Lebanon, Kansas.
