Harvest Reminders

By September 18, 2015January 24th, 2020No Comments

As harvest begins this year, we wanted to remind producers of a few items:

Keep production separate by unit: Please remember if you have a field that is both irrigated and non-irrigated units (for example, pivot corners) you must keep this production separate in order to collect payment if the unit is in a loss.

Mark bins: If you are putting grain in a bin, please mark the bin if more than one unit is put in the same bin so the adjuster knows where one unit’s production stops and the next unit put on top of it begins.

Do not split tickets: If you are taking grain to the elevator please do not split tickets between units. We will need settlement sheets, not the tickets to work a loss.

Grain sold should match your policy name: If you take grain to the elevator that shares with another party or if you have multiple entities, please make sure the grain is sold in the correct name that matches the insurance policy that unit is listed on.

Crop Damage: If you have a field damaged by hail or wind and it appears worse than originally thought, please contact us while the crop is still in the field. Once it is completely harvested we do not have the ability to come back and look at the crop. If you have any reason to believe we need to look at a field, contact us before you finish harvesting that field and we will send an adjuster out to inspect it right away.

Timely Production: Please bring us your production as soon as you are done harvesting so we can determine which units are in a loss and get the loss worked and paid timely.

We hope you have a safe harvest and greatly appreciate your business!
