On Friday, April 5th, the Gary Thompson Agency celebrated a ribbon cutting with the Chamber as well as a Customer Appreciation Event for its Hastings location. Several customers, employees, and friends of the agency stopped by to enjoy good food and company, but mostly to honor the career and retirement of Carol Curry-Fisher.
Carol is no stranger to the insurance industry, having been a part of it for 46 years. Additionally, she has been a valued part of the GTA culture for 12 years. She has remained in the Hastings office throughout her time here.
Carol began her career with insurance on January 25th, 1973, with the Adam Kohl Insurance agency. She has been a licensed agent since 1980. Throughout her many years in the industry, Carol has helped assist numerous customers throughout policy changes, losses, and traumatic events, forming close friendships with many and gaining the reputation of being a dependable agent to all.
When asked how she would describe her career, Carol said, “There was never a dull moment. Looking back I can see just how unique and special all of my clients were. My journey has been unique and interesting, and I hope that I was able to have contributed to people’s lives and made a difference for the better.”
Several customers, friends and family stopped by to congratulate Carol – plus she also received many well wishes and gifts. Thank you to everyone who came or reached out to her!
Though her last day will be on April 30th, we want to thank Carol for her many years of work & dedication to the agency & her customers. She will be greatly missed! We wish her the very best in retirement.
