2019 Holiday Tailgate

The new year has ushered in so many fun and exciting changes, and as a closing chapter to 2019, we are anxious to share the details on our 2019 Holiday Party and, more importantly, the recipient of our GTA Employee of the Year award.

This year, GTA Insurance Group hosted its annual Christmas Party in Lincoln at the Jasmine Room by Venue in the Grand Manse. The event was made complete by delicious food and drinks, lawn games, and a live streaming of the Maryland vs. Nebraska Football Game. At this event, GTA announced awards for staff that have reached and exceeded certain milestones in the agency, as well as Years of Service awards. These individuals excelled at the highest level this past year and are continuing to position GTA Insurance Group as one of the premier insurance agencies in the area.

This year, the Employee of the Year award was presented to Maddie AndersonClient Relationship Manager, out of our Minden location. Maddie’s determination and eagerness to help out in whatever situation set her apart this past year and resulted in her receiving this recognition.

The Producer of the Year award will be presented in mid-2020, once all numbers have been submitted for the previous year. The Board of Directors not only created these awards for those excelling within the agency but also in honor of two insurance professionals from GTA Insurance Group that passed away in recent years: Greg Choquette and Augie Nelson.

Additionally, six Years of Service awards were handed out this year in recognition to those who have worked for five years at GTA. The three recipients were: Simon McKenzie (Minden), Angela Carlson (Minden), Lisa Glass (Hastings), Emily Steinhauser (Lincoln/Waverly), Jana Steinkruger (Hildreth – not pictured), and Jim Camplin (Grand Island – not pictured). Members of the Board and Shareholders’ years of service were also identified this year.

New employees were also recognized, as this past year GTA added one new agency in Aurora and a total of 22 new employees. Pictured below you can see a few of our new employees standing to be recognized at the event.

During halftime, Matt Shaw (Aurora), Tony Purvis (Kearney), and Jill Bauer (spouse of Crale Bauer – Hildreth) were all chosen to participate in a trivia challenge to test their GTA knowledge. Jill ended up winning a prize and going home with bragging rights!

Two other employees: Keenan Anderson (Grand Island) and Becki Tridle (Lincoln) were raffle winners and also went home with some GTA swag.

We were also super grateful to have Gary Thompson attend this year – the original namesake and founder of GTA.

The rest of the evening proved to be a great success as employees from all over the state were given the opportunity to catch up and partake in a little friendly competition.

Huge shout out to the staff at the Jasmine Room for helping us put on such a great event to thank our employees for another successful year! Looking forward to what 2020 will bring.
